Meta Muse for Small Business: what it connects to and what it can change
Meta released an AI agent for small businesses on 29 September 2026. This article lists the connected tools, the stated functions, the limits of the evidence, and the checks to do before you connect your accounts.
On 29 September 2026, Meta announced Muse for Small Business. Muse is an AI agent that connects to the software a small business already uses and does tasks inside it.
This article collects the facts that Meta and the press have published so far. It also lists the checks to run before you give an agent access to your accounts.
What Muse connects to
TechCrunch lists these tools: Shopify, Dropbox, Slack, Asana, Box, Canva, Figma, Granola, HighLevel, Intuit QuickBooks, Klaviyo, Lovable, Notion, Stripe and Zoom. Muse also connects to Instagram professional analytics, Facebook pages and Meta ad accounts.
TechCrunch reports that Muse learns what the business sells, its brand voice and the questions customers ask most. This describes the product. It is not a test result.
What Meta says Muse does
Press reports state these functions: analyze sales, campaigns and social activity; make growth plans; manage cash flow and inventory; write messages to customers; and create ads and other content. One weekly roundup gives this list.
Meta gave this reason for the product: "Small businesses have been growing on our apps for nearly two decades. They told us they're short on hours, not ideas."
Price
Muse has a free tier with usage limits, and paid plans for heavier use. TechCrunch does not give prices. The same roundup reports two plans, at $20 and $100 per month. Confirm the price on Meta's own page before you decide.
What is not known
All function claims come from Meta. At the time of writing, no independent test of Muse for Small Business is available.
TechCrunch reports that Muse reached the top of the app charts in the U.S. and Canada, ahead of ChatGPT, after its earlier September launch. That figure measures downloads. It does not show that the agent completes business tasks correctly.
The sources also leave several points open: which regions get the product, how Muse behaves when a task goes wrong, and which actions it takes without asking you first.
What to do before you connect an account
- 01List the tools you plan to connect, and mark each one as read only or read and write.
- 02Do not start with Stripe or QuickBooks, because these tools move or record money.Start with a tool where a mistake costs little, such as Canva or Notion.
- 03Find out whether Muse asks for approval before it sends a customer message or publishes an ad.If the documents do not say, test it on a draft account.
- 04Keep a record of what Muse changes. After one week, compare the record with the real state of the accounts.
- 05Check which data leaves your tools and how Meta uses it.Read the data terms before you connect customer data.
- 06Set a spending limit on your Meta ad account before Muse can create ads.
Muse is one of several agent products that launched in the same week, among them OpenAI's Dots and ZoomInfo's Agent Teams. The same checks apply to each of them.
